The AIDS Walk & Run is a vibrant, fun event where people from across Calgary come together to show support and fundraise for those affected by HIV. Participants can choose between a 3km walk or 5km run. On September 23, the event will begin in Eau Claire Plaza with live music, African dancers, Indigenous performers, and more. Once the Walk & Run kicks off, the path will take you along the beautiful Bow River and loop right back around to the Plaza, where you can enjoy a delicious complimentary lunch with your team, and try the new beer garden!
Funds raised during the Calgary AIDS Walk & Run go directly to supporting the work we do at HIV Community Link. The agency exists to support people living with, or at risk of HIV and hepatitis C. We provide education to communities, give non-judgmental support, tools and information, and offer harm reduction programs and services to populations in Calgary and Southeastern Alberta. In 2018, HIV Community Link celebrates its 35th anniversary. Your support helps us to achieve our Vision: Empowering Choices. Engaging Communities. Ending Transmission.
