The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and a prolonged economic downturn in Alberta has increased challenges for the communities we serve. The challenges have impacted their risk of HIV, social isolation and overdose, food and housing insecurity.
By supporting us, you can support low barrier services for people at risk of HIV and other sexually transmited and blood bourne diseases. HIV Community Link has experienced a much higher and more diverse demand for our services. Your support will help us to keep up with the demand.
Our Year in Numbers
In the last year, we were able to address almost 14,000 needs such as basic needs, social isolation and mental health. Additional to our services, we made over 500 referrals to community services and resources. Our frontline workers had almost 10,000 contacts with registered clients and people met on street and community outreach. Our work includes:

$50 will provide supportive counselling to a person living with or at risk for HIV.
$100 provides an overdose prevention education session for 25 people.
$300 allows us to host a peer support group for 10 people living with HIV.
$500 will help 25 of our clients with their basic needs.
